Carolyn

from the first time i heard her voice - i knew that we would get along.
way back in early spring Carolyn made a phone call to us about having some fun photos taken. we put her on a list of clients to call once the weather warmed up.

it was only about 1/2 hour into that first conversation and i truly felt like i was staring into the mirror. we chatted about the mutual people we knew and the mutual feelings we shared of them all.

this past week was our third attempt to take pictures due to the bad weather we had a few nights this summer. it was a great night for photos and we’ll us girls pasted 2 hours together like it was 15 minuets.

Carolyn is truly a beautiful person - inside and out. full of life, spunk and creative ideas.

Carolyn we enjoyed you so so much and like we said - let's stay in touch.

this Monday morning wasn’t the usual for us sisters!
what a fresh way to start out our work week.

Amy and little Aleeah traveled to us from St.Paul Alberta, it was so fun to catch up with a great friend and finally see her adorable 7 month old girl.

they were in their own mother and daughter world which is a love that can never be replaced. so amazing to capture moments that are forever changing.

thanks for booking us awhile back, we were looking forward to this all summer,
we wouldn’t have missed this morning for anything.

Craig and Julie

it was hard for us girls not enjoy our summer evening with Craig and Julie.

when time takes us back to our youth – Julie, Juanita and i all had something in common.
we attended Marion Graham high school together.

this also was the place and time that these two love birds met. passing note back and forth in class about chemistry or something – i don’t know if we dare share the story over the net ;)

life and love have had its test and trials for these two.
as Julie attended University here in the city, Craig was off playing hockey in the states for the AHL.

' what doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger.'
Obviously time and distance only brought Craig and Julie closer together and has made them who they are today.

with a wedding happening next year and a season of hockey ahead of them this year. life will be full.

enjoy it you two and soak it up. these are the days of the endless summer.

Daren and Kim Wedding

the day came and went so quickly it’s hard to believe that it’s all over.
last weekend we capture the commitments made between two amazing individuals.

it was a morning wedding with a brunch to follow - so after all was said and done we were able to take them around the city to some fun spots for pictures with no time pressure or deadlines.

these two will hang their hats in Outlook, Saskatchewan – which will give them both the benefits of a city near by yet the country right out the back door.

best of luck you two with life - and no need to wish you luck with love – you have each other and that is all you will need.

The Buckberger Family

10 years of marriage and four beautiful kids, what more could you want?

Juanita and I had fun trying to get these kids to all smile
and say “fuzzy pickles" at the same time
we seemed to luck out better asking them to say “hockey rules”

it was a busy photo shoot, yet a really refreshing shoot at the same time.
kids will be kids and there is such beauty in that.

the middle aged boys, who are twins Boston and Braxton – seemed to keep things on edge - while we were down at the water – the little scouts seemed to find every living creature that was in sight. even the muskrat who seemed to want to join our photo shoot.

as I anxiously approach motherhood – this family gave me huge strides of hope and comfort – that it can be done and it is a ton of fun.

this past weekend’s wedding was such a luxury working with a great friend and his chosen one.

Franco and Julie, you have such a fun love. creative, fresh and full of surprises.

we want to thank you for the day and the brilliant times.
learning a little bit more about the Italian culture was fun.

you two have so much fun in Italy together, visiting family, seeing the sights and taking in some of that great European shopping (Julie)

The Robertson Family

way back in February, i met Ainsley, (the eldest daughter) for the first time. i was speaking to a class of commerce students at the university. she was head of the Student Council.
after the class we chatted and within no time she emailed and she was scheming up a plan for some family photos.

this week we captured the family, which was a blast.
3 girls and a fun mom and dad.

this fall two of the girls leave a little further from home and their roots.
it was a family shoot to one last time capture the family ties before they were off the see more of the world and have more ground under their feet.

we wish the girls so much success and to the complete family – thank you for the fun time.
as kindergarten has it’s recess break – our line of work has photo shoot like this one.

Darren and Kim Engagement

there was just some kind of flow on Sunday night with these two love birds that made the photo shoot one of our favorite of the summer. it might be the fact that Darren and Kim don’t see each other as much with Darren up at a mine way up north a week at a time.

their wedding is less than two weeks away and we are very excited to see what the day holds.
lots of love and laughter we can be sure of that.

we love seeing a family like this grow and become so complete with each child added.
you could say, Marci is like another sister, Juan and i and her sisters all grew up so close and pictures aren’t anything new.

the pictures that used to be of us 5 girls in the summer with our cowgirl hats on in the back of jeeps, lake fun, or just whatever have now been replaced with family portraits with their children ripp’in around and grow’in up.

last night we photographed another family.
it was like working with 4 big kids – all of them so young at heart and ready for a good time.

i really feel that when we come away from a time like that - we as the photographers benefit so much.

George and Amanda came to us from Grand Prairie.
we not only had the privilege of capturing them for engagement photos – but we too are going to capture their wedding evening come early October.

there two have a very special bond. George admires Amanda for all that she is. they are very affectionate with each other and with each comment made - you can tell there is a mutual respect.

i can remember that feeling as if it was yesterday - the feeling of freedom, real world reality and the urge just to walk across that stage, to only keep walking to the beat of my own drum. i was done those high school moments and did it feel great.

this is the feeling Danika had on Tuesday when we met up to take some grad and family photos. capture that age – it’s one of life’s finest moment.

Danika was a pleasure to work with, as well as the great family who stands behind her. regardless of the crazy weather we were able to bang out some fun shoot and really try some different stuff. this family was up for anything !!

Garrett and Shauna Wedding

it is so beautiful how things work.
Tammy from Boehmer Photography came to us early this year to see if we would be able to take a wedding for her.
( we know Tammy would have loved to be here at this wedding however – she was busy taking care of her newborn son. )
we feel so privileged to be part of a network of photographers who are there to help each other out.

as the day grew closer us sisters anticipated the opportunity to capture Shauna & Garrett once again.

they picked such a beautiful location to share a few moments with family ,friends and each other.
Camp Easter Seal was very scenic and just the right place to capture love.

we thank the fun wedding party for many laughs.
the morning around the remarkable old farm house with all the girls
the dark storm clouds that brought incredible feeling.
most of all - the love that was shown by all of you!!

Two Little Birdies

spending time with the little people in life - is so much fun!

yesterday morning was a treat! we got to capture the fun summer clothes on adorable kids from
Two Little Birdies (an amazing store here in Saskatoon).

we had to keep pulling ourselves away from pointing the camera at the adorable little faces and capture the clothes and accessories which was the point of the shoot.
they all were a blast to play/work with!

thanks Breanne, Lynn, Nicole & of course the kids (Joleen we missed you) for the fun morning in the park. all your children are so priceless!!

Jon and Amanda Wedding

words can hardly portray this whole wedding event and how it left us feeling inside.
the couple, the location, the peace we felt between the two and their incredibly unique outfits.

Jon’s wedding attire was a suit made in 1918 and Amanda’s dress and style was right out of the 1940’s.

the wedding location was chosen carefully with joint decision because of the powerful architectural building located at Saskatchewan beach. this open-air chapel seemed to let the light beams just gently lay around it giving such a beautiful feeling to it all.

their vows and promises that they exchanged seem to be laid on a sure foundation.

we feel an incredible gratitude to have witnessed this event and to be a part of it.

thank you Jon and Amanda. thank you for your love that you share together and thank you for letting us in to that place.
you two have a wonderful future ahead and no matter what - you will make a great team.

Imperial Graduation 2007 - Individuals

what a huge day in the lives of these 9 Imperial graduates.
on Friday, they finished a chapter of their lives to only begin another in the real world.

Juanita and i had so much fun with them!
in our ½ hour with each grad we were able to hear their big plans, hopes and inspirations for the future.

life doesn’t really get much brighter than this.

Bicycle built for 2

a couple days prior to mother’s day this year – my husband suggested that we maybe take a stroll into a bike shop to see what kind of cruiser would suit a pregnant girl.

i was tickled

it only took a few minuets for me to fall in love with BLUE WASABI.
Kipp found himself a pretty sweet ‘mean machine’ too. THE DRIFT.

since then my bike has been the bicycle built for two.
Kipp and i have had so many fun dates and nights cruis’in together.

this afternoon for our little coffee break - Juanita convinced me to grab a few unique shots of the bike and well my tummy too !

must say we had fun – just about as much fun as cruis’in.

Jeff and Jodie Engagement

one of the best things about engagement shoots is to become connected to a couple prior to their big day. to be able to spend time with them as whom they are and how they like to interact with each other.
every couple is different, yet in many ways the same.

last night’s sunset and dusk was a great time for Jeff, Jodie and us girls to tour around the city – having fun while we captured them together.
conversations in-between each location led us to believe they love their life.
their weeks activities are filled with such fun things that they do together.

it’s 9:30 pm on a fine Thursday night.
we just finished editing a few photos from tonight’s engagement shoot.
Shauna and Garrett were just too much fun and we are very much looking forward to their big day coming up later this month.

tonight’s photography locations ranged from park benches and greenery that over looked our beautiful river bank to the roof tops of some of Saskatoon’s oldest buildings.

Paul and Toby Wedding

life has it’s amazing ways of bringing people together.
this is at least how we felt after being around Paul and Toby for the day and learning a little of what their love and friendship has brought them thru.

with love it is not necessarily what happens around you that counts but what happens in you.

we truly feel that Paul and Toby have been blessed with a mature and deep love.
one that has many lines and stories.

on Saturday of last weekend both Juanita and i felt really privileged of being welcomed into not only a couple lives, but welcomed in by family, friends and the marvelous wedding party!

your day inspired and reassured us that we are so fortunate to be in the industry we are in,
to be blessed by meeting and working with love like this.

Toby – it was no mistake that we met coming home from Calgary on one of those friendly West Jet flights.
call it fate, call it karma.
but now when we look back – it all led to a beautiful thing. thank you.

Shawn and Erin Wedding

what a great couple to share a Saturday with.
an amazing wedding party too!

the wind blew love around all day in swirls, gusts and twists.
that is all we could feel being close to these two.
Erin was such a calm organized bride staying fresh with laughter and joy.

we all had a little laugh with the joke her bridesmaids played 10 mins. before leaving for the church.
girls - ya got her good and but – her true colors came thru as such a understanding bride.
we will laugh at that one for a while.

we know Shawn will always treat his ' princess ' with so much love and care.
we are so happy to get reacquainted and worked with this couple.
we wish you nothing but bliss in your marriage.

sometime ago i received an email from a photographer in Winnipeg who was just writing to compliment some of our work and to say hello. Jodi was her name.

as we emailed back and forth a little in that time i learned that she was coming to Saskatoon May long weekend to shoot a wedding for some friends of hers. while here in Saskatoon we planned to meet and so some portfolio pictures for her web page.

on Thursday afternoon - she showed up at our home. even after the long drive from Winnipeg – she was smiling from ear to ear. i knew right then - we would have fun.

for the past few days i have been under the weather with a bad cold and so Jodi agreed just to shoot the pictures in our back year by the blooming apple tree.

we did.

then we got off in conversations of the industry. time went so fast and before we knew it she has to go.

it was such a nice refreshing break.

best of luck Jodi with your business and with the wedding this weekend. we are off to shoot a wedding tomorrow as well and i think all of us are just asking for a favor of some nice weather.

we’ll see.

Jon and Amanda Engagement

such an enjoyable trendy couple!
we just fell in love with Jon and Amanda’s style when we first met up with them a few months ago for a coffee at the Broadway Roastery.

we coordinated a sunny Friday afternoon to meet up and do e-session in Saskatoon.
they expressed nothing but closeness, and therefore made it very easy to capture them in the moment.

we anticipate their very unique wedding on June 15 at Saskatchewan Beach.
it’s going to be nothing less than ordinary, and we are so excited for that.
you all are gonna just have to wait to see the pictures to know what we are writing about!

Shaun and Andrea Wedding

May 4 with rain clouds, wind and all did not seem a match for Andrea and Shaun.
the weather was a challenge but this couple all wrapped in love didn’t really even seem to notice it.
it was such a great day to capture. we cherished the feeling of young love that the day brought.

Shaun was not a fan of our cameras pointed at him, but the beautiful bride beside him kept his attention and we were able to capture this couple naturally as picturesque as they are.

the blue skies i see in you.

it’s amazing how time evolves.
we never thought years ago, we’d be able to capture these two wrapped up in love
they are such a great match
yesterday was such a incredible day as we witnessed the connection between them.

as we walked in the gorgeous afternoon sun, Tyler's exact words were….
”i am the luckiest guy to have a girl like her!!”
i guess life just works out for people who are willing to wait for the right person.

the best part (if you asked Tyler) was when we mentioned running through a spring puddle
he immediately got all excited
“that’s my girl…that’s her right there, that’s why i love her” he shouted and they splashed through the puddle
a fresh spring feeling

we just know with the love we witnessed yesterday, you two will have such an incredible future.

Growing.....in a few ways.

i can hardly begin to express how blessed i feel with all that has gone on in the last 3 months.
in both the business aspect of life and my personal life - they have been filled with sunshine and stars.

it has been a busy time and a trying time in some ways, but that seems to be the way life goes.
where so i start and what do i tell first.

i guess i should start back in January, when my husband came home from a business trip in Europe - at that i was not feeling normal – i remember telling him that i thought i was pregnant – with a little time and some tests - that feeling was true.
we learned that we are expecting a child in the beginning of October and we are just so so so excited.

over the past 3 months i was fairly sick.
i am very thankful for all the patient customers and clients.
i am also very thankful that i have a business that is operated from a home office ;)

before announcing the news to too many people, my sister / business partner made the choice that she is going to come on full time with Dream Photography in May.
her first day as a full time gal will be May 14th.
this is just going to be perfect and really a dream come true for a mother to be.
we will spend the summer working full time together and by the fall she will be ready for the reigns.
i know that the baby will take so much time and for this i am ready – however with the business right here at home, i will be able to still stay involved.

our husbands have been working some overtime on the basement renos. thank to them.
we will be relocating the Dream Photography office in the basement of our new home.
this way there is much more room and we will be setting up a client area to make the client experience more of an exceptional one.

i am also as thankful for the face list on the webpage.
a big thank you goes out once again to Daren and his company deezine.ca.
it’s wonderful how friends can work together to help each others companies grow.

just before Easter – Juan and i spent some time with an incredible person and artist.
our time with Jesh de Rox will not be forgotten.
it was 2 intense days of discussing many parts of photography, philosophy and life.

we were able to squeeze in a photo shoot between all of our deep conversation and topics.
the images below are some that Juanita and i took.
thank you to our great friends and the wonderful lovable couple Kirby and Chantel for modeling and showcasing your love for each other.

the timing of meeting and working with Jesh again just seemed like such a gift that was timed right.
there was so much that i took from those two days and i know it will not only help the photography we do, it will benefit me in life and my day to day living.
there are artists that you respect and then there are artists that you respect, admire and can connect with. thank you Jesh for your time and talent.

Kipp and i just returned from Arizona – a little get away together before this ‘little life’ will join our family. in getting away – i realized once again how important that is for a person and a marriage.
we had such an incredible time just the two of us and now on Saturday, we celebrate our 2 years of marriage together.
i am so incredibly blessed with a great man and our wonderful friendship.
i believe one of life’s rarest finds.
if you know this same thing with your spouse - be sure to never take it for granted.
tell then you love ‘em today!

last but not least – the people who keep this business aflame.
thank you to all the clients and upcoming wedding parties, families, kids and soul mates that we will capture this summer. we are ready to pour our hearts out in so many fun and creative ways.

i have always found incredible beauty with the sight of a newborn baby.

as aware as she looks – she is still pretty small and new to the world.

26 years ago to this day i was blessed with a baby sister.

now i’m not gonna tell you i can remember that day – cause i can’t but since i can remember when my life has been fuller, richer and deeper because of the sibling i have.

it’s amazing the road we have traveled down in this life – it hasn’t all been a dream walk but really no matter what has happened, we still have each other to talk to, to turn to and never forget - to laugh with.

it was so refreshing to photograph Wil yesturday in a winter setting.
he just loved the great white outdoors.
i just can't believe how much he has grown and how much his vocabulary has expanded too. yesturday , as he was sipp'in on his steamed milk he was saying "Starbucks".

we had the chance to get to know this couple up close and personal back in October when we captured their engagement moments. since then we have been anticipating this day.

both husband and wife of this team radiated thru with such a happiness and peace from within of the day and what it meant.

this was our first winter wedding in here in the province and it’s going to be a hard one to beat. the little details and love that went into the day seems to cover it with such beautiful colors.

a wedding to me is such a great thing. to be surrounded by happiness, joy and laughter.
what a pleasure to be around this.

this morning i was going thru our wedding galleries while sipping a dark roast from Starbucks.
instead of reading the paper, i felt like doing a little reminiscing.
as we gear up for the busy 2007 wedding season. one thing that i thought would be very helpful is to go back and study each wedding we photographed last year.

it’s amazing how exclusive feelings came back to me with each gallery. there was something that stayed with me from each love story that was unique.

The luckiest

i feel like a poet right now that is struggling for the right words to describe a beautiful moment, day and beginning.

one of those people that you watch from a distance - they are writing words on a piece of paper and then their next move is to crumple it up and shoot it in the direction of the garbage can.

then to start again… and again.

as i sit down to write about this wedding and share it with you i just wish i could all take you back in time and have you witness it for yourself. i feel that the words i use will not do it justice.

i think the pictures will give you a perfect feel of this couple. two beautiful individuals, so in love and closely joined together… with hearts and hands.

it was unbelievable to witness two friends connect with vows and promises.

it is such a sweet love story with not a happy ending but a happy beginning.

they are the luckiest and they know it.

these days of blessing for them – i am sure they feel that the grass is greenest beneath them and something tells me this is the way they always will feel.

congrats Daren and Tamila Jane. we are so thankful that you two found each other.

The little red sand shovel

Carson is your typical 3 -year-old boy.
loves to get into everything and will ask you ‘ why ’a millions times.
at that age they are learning so much and it makes you so conscious of every answer you give the little soul.

i quickly snapped these pictures on Wednesday morning. Vancouver had had a pretty heavy snow fall. in a boy’s world - it a whole new world of possibilities.

Carson played and played out in the snow until i think he couldn’t feel his little fingers anymore.
with his little sand shovel he was able to get his little red and black car unstuck in a snow pile.

i value so much the time i was able to spend with Carson and his family.

well i am back home now and what can i say once again ..... life is wonderful.
we had such a great time in Seattle and then i had a few days in Vancouver with some great girlfriends.
i covered a lot of ground and really wouldn’t want it any other way.

someone that i would really like to thank is TJ Cameron.

way back in march of last year when we attended the photographers workshop, we not only came away from there with great inspiration but also many great relationships we had formed with other photographers from all over North America.

TJ Cameron was one of those great photographers that we met and have both made efforts to stay in touch. he lives in Portland Oregon and has talent from what ever angle you see.

when he learned that we would we coming to Seattle, there was not question in his mind that he would drive to see us. it was great – we arranged for him to bring his camera gear and he shot the wedding with us.

it was so great to see him again, chat and discuss photography stories.
Tj is super talented and i feel that even the short time with him we once again learn some helpful things.

thank you tj for your time, efforts and friendship. it is always nice to have other photographers on your side caring enough to see you flourish and grow.

Seattle - Keeping Clam

we have arrived in seattle and the days have been spent admiring the sights of a very unique city with old friends and new. it's been great. the first few pictures are of the scenery just outside our back deck....... beautiful.

today we headed down to the famous market.
we discovered a wall covered with bubble gum. watch close this wall might reappear in some more photos.

i was very drawn to the green moss color.

we also drank a coffee from the first starbucks ever.
dad you would be loving this place. there is a starbucks almost on every corner.

my sister is always up for photo shoots and i love that about her.
today even thought the chore list was a little longer than normal - i felt the tug and the spark in her voice.
i left the house with the camera and headed to the rink.

it was a blast. taking pictures with really cold fingers and an even chillier nose.... but that is where we live and this is what we do. hockey has been a past time for many ages in Saskatoon. some live and breath it.

i love the fun it brings out in people... and a connection that otherwise wouldn't be there...
at the local rinks it's all about bring a shovel, your stick, gloves and skates.... you bring your game face and sense of humor too. it's where no one is serious yet they are and where the fights break out between two guys with a smile on their face...

here's to a fun winter day.

The Coloring Book

right now i am speechless yet inside i feel as if i could color in a book of 1000 pages.
i would color in pictures and shapes of all the blessings and joy that life has brought my way this year

i feel as if i could take colors and run them thru the pages of the book. they would all coordinate yet clash, there would be circles, squares, pictures inside of pictures and lollipops.
there would be no fences or barriers. there would be lots of room to reach out.
there would be sunshine and rain, wind and calms. there would be big posters everywhere saying to believe in yourself.
then i would draw and color something not knowing quite what it might become.
i would allow my heart to guide and my feet to follow.

i would draw a little sadness, trials and tribulations. those too are a part of this coloring book.
a very important role. for some colors are dark, cold and gray. when those color were felt, yes it might hurt, but they are too what make us strong and makes us appreciate what we have.

i would draw a family picture , one of happiness, honesty and love, i would draw them as stick people with a simple home and some horses behind a fence. some big swings right from the sky and a trampoline in the backyard.
i would turn the page quickly and keep drawing.

a picture so beautiful of a handsome man and me. in that drawing it would sum up everything that he is to me and some how it would be simple but beautiful. no frills and diamonds. that's not us.

i would draw friends, lots of them. they would have big hearts and kind smiles.
i would draw rain puddles, big ones. i would draw fresh herbs and a coffee cup.
maybe one hot chocolate too.

i would draw a camera and then a big smile... i would draw my sister on that page with hearts going up into the sky. i would color a new family in my life and all that i have learned from them. a mother in law with one hand in a garden and the other hand holding a natural fabric.... she would be planting a seed and sowing an outfit for her grandson. i would draw a humble man that has taught me lots.

i would write a few words. but i would be careful.. life isn't so much our words but our actions
i would write that - all seasons are beautiful to the person who carries happiness within
i would write love life
really what have you got to loose?

i would draw mountains and deserts, i would draw time and seasons.
i would draw heros and they would be our grandparents.
i would draw and color airmail and it would symbolize my many thoughts of all the amazing souls overseas.

i would draw prayers and they would not stop... people need us and we need them.

i would draw, draw and draw, realizing that by drawing, my book was in progress.
a chapter, a phase and a page.

life is our coloring book, sometimes others get to see it, sometimes they can only feel it.
sometimes we, ourselves are the only ones that every see the beauty in it.

i say: grab some colors and dream with your eyes wide open.

thank you all for making 2006 a colorful year.
let's focus this year on what inspires us and remember that you cannot achieve what you don't attempt.

Christmas in Fernie

this year our Christmas and the days surrounding it were spent in Fernie with my husband and his family.
it was a blast. a little of everything.

we had a great time on the hill snowboarding and then some qt time just hanging out with family

2007 Wedding Bookings

' you can't do it all ?

i was just reminded by my soul mate who always seems to have a way of drawing me back to life and it?s necessary balance.

many time lately i have felt a tug in my heart to try to do it all.
there are so many opportunities out there, beautiful people and love that surround the moments waiting to be capture.

we have been so gifted with every client that we have worked with in the past that it excites me to think if the future clients and all the incredible moments to unfold in front of us.

we would love to reach out to more of you and your phone calls are appreciated
life only holds so many days and so many minuets in each day. there need to be a balance between life, work and play.

our 2007 wedding season has fully reached the limit we are now booking for the 2008 wedding season.

in the meantime we are still booking for family portraits, children, graduations, engagements and such.

The new girl in town

a Golden Retriever puppy now has a new home and it?s with Mom and Dad at the acreage.
today Joey, Tannis and i were out to take a sneak peak at her and i couldn?t resist out came the camera for a few pictures.

there is something contagious about puppies.
today she discovered snow in a quick way trying to keep up with our older German Shepard dog , Indy chasing her around in the snow piles.
glad she is gone to a great home. it?s going to be fun to watch her grow.

she has not been officially named yet we are still tossing a few around.

life gets so busy with our day to day lives, all the things that we get wrapped up in and then.......

we are remember that the best things in life are not things.

we were reminded of this this week by someone whom we lost and loved dearly.

life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are traveling the journey with us. be swift to love, make haste to be kind.

please excuse my time away from the office and all it's duties. time with family and with those whom mourn is where i want and need to be.

tonight Rob Clark and i presented to a class of commerce students on the topic of networking.
the Saskatoon Commerce Students Society hosted the event and i would have to say a great group of students.

this public speaking for me is not too new of a thing, but after tonight i realize that i need to do it more often. push myself out of a comfort zone.

the class started out with Rob's top notch power point presentation off of his mac. (many jokes made during the speech about mac vs. Pc) he covered many useful points about networking.

then he turned the floor over to me.

yes there was a lot that i wanted to share but didn't share. my mind seemed to go a little blank.

there is so much to networking that comes to my mind, so much of it that we really don't even know we are doing it because it becomes a daily routine.

i believe that networking is something that come natural when you have a great passion of what you do because you seems to want to reach out and help others that will someday help you and your business. it becomes natural if you have a great vision for your business. it's a feeling of wanting to give.

it is almost unbelievable to think that every person that you may meet, be it in the grocery store, or at a business function, each person will have about 250 contacts.

wow. the possibilities. the people that you could come to know just through meeting one individual.

i also mention tonight about being yourself and believing in you, if you don't think you can do it, why network.

when you are yourself, when you are confident and have a set purpose, it will show. passion in business is like love to a marriage.

it will show in many ways.

i say love what you do and dream with your eyes wide open.

A great day to be alive

today was a special day for me.
Kerrin, my husbands? younger cousin was with me in the office.
her high school has a program called - take your kids to work day?.
Kerrin has a crazy passion and interest in photography and so she called me up to spend the day by my side.

it was wonderful, we edited photos together, designed client Christmas cards, of course went for a mid afternoon latte just around the corner at Starbucks.
we then polished the day off with a photo shoot of each other.
i have been craving to get her in front of the camera.
we braved the dreary weather this afternoon and once we got home and took a look at the photos.
her eyes popped out. so blue and so beautiful.

thank you Kerrin for the wonderful day. you can be around anytime. you were so helpful and refreshing.

Daren and Tamila - Part 1

Juanita and i cannot begin to explain the rush of excitement that we had on October 10 2006.

it was a chilly October afternoon while Daren and Tamila were having the time of their lives....
purchasing running shoes, going for a jog (something that Tamila has wanted Daren to do) , dropping off some pictures to get developed, having a mid after noon grilled cheese sandwich over game of checkers, and then well picking up the pictures to only head to a special place....... from there, well.. you will have to watch the slideshow.

hint: you could say - our first chance to act as paparazzi !!!

all i can say is, it took some planning...
Juanita and i were chilly, a bit nervous and i was sure they would hear our hearts beating we were so close. it was all so worth it to capture the time of a life experience for two special people and close friends.

we had so much fun with Daren and Tamila on this day.
