When 2 people come together....

engagement photos are so much fun !
these are the kind of pictures where people are most relaxed. ya know, a pair of your favorite jeans and a t-shirt.

Juanita and i had a blast working with this farm boy and his wife to be.
hopefully they had just as much fun.

Steph and Bryce exchanged vows Friday on a beautiful piece of property just on the outskirts of Sherwood Park, Alberta.
at the time of the ceremony it was drizzling enough to sprinkle all the vows spoken with something from above.

but as the day went on and as we headed out to take the formal photos well ?..
the skies opened up and let it pour ;( .
for most of the photos we played along with the rain. some great umbrella shots.

regardless of the weather the day was a blast.

one of my favorite parts of the day was as the bride stepped out of the buggy that the horses had pulled up to the end of the isle.
her eyes swelled up in tears of joy and happiness. as both her parents walked her up the isle you could just see the excitement around her that told me?. this had been the moment she was waiting for.

thank you Steph and Bryce for inviting us to be apart of such an amazing day of your life.
thank you to the wedding party. girls, we had so much fun at the house in the morning with you all!!!

Weekend get a way

amidst the busyness of the wedding this past weekend, i was up at the lake with my husbands family.
Judy, my mother in law was celebrating a important birthday.
by the way this wonderful lady looks you would probably thing she is just shy over 45.
so i will leave it at that. ;)
it was so nice to be up there and to just relax enjoying the lake life.

i must say that the flower girl from the last wedding was one of the cutest flower girls i have seen.
so much character and spunk !

Jenn and Ryan

this wedding took me back to my high school years when Jenn and i first got to know each other. i have to admit i never knew her like some of the other girls in the same group of friends but i had always known enough to know she was a wonderful person.
over the years us girls.. well some are still very close and some are still on the odd email list and such.

at the time of Jenn and Ryan's engagement they were living in Calgary and thru the grape vine Jenn heard about our business. she phoned us up to see if we would be interested in capturing their day and instantly i felt honored.

a day with some old high school girl friends, a day of happiness and joy.
what a wedding to be at and to be found behind the camera.

all i can say in short and sweet way is the wedding was like candy to a kid.

the bride looked stunning.
the wedding party was a blast.
the groom was handsome and so excited
love was in the air.
family and friends were delighted.

that does not come from knowing you both very well , but that comes from being around the two of you. i could just feel it!!!
