March is the month
i am very thankful that i was able to spend time with them both to celebrate.
tonight we went to their house to make homemade pizzas and have DQ ice cream cake. yummm!
it was also a great time to get caught up. my father was anxious to hear about out time in california. photography is his passion too.
i really truly value the family i have. casual nights like tonight make me realize that that is one of the most important things in life. i read a quote not to long ago that pretty much sums up how i feel.
' When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.'
it's great to come from a home where there's love. now just to focus on giving back what i have been given.
pay it forward. that is how it stays alive.

Great memories !!
we are home now from the OC .
i was a little ran down on the weekend and found it important to take some time out. i got caught up on my sleep and i had time to reflect from the past 4 intense days that we spent with Mike Colon , in his photography seminar.
what a great experience. i feel so incredibly inspired. i am not only inspired to be a better photographer, but to be a better person.
i feel as if what i learn in the past 4 days it will take me a long time to put to practice. timeless really. i'd love to do it all right now. but the best way to grow is step by step.
anyway i'd want to say a few thank you's
thank you to my sister / assistant for attending with me. we had a great time together !!
thank you also to mike and the wonderful team on your side.
thank you also to the talent bunch of photographers that were so much fun and offered so much help!
everyone was so good to us Canadian sisters.
here are a few of the pics we took while out on photo shoots and of each other.
Thanks to these 2 talented photographers......TJ Cameron and Jim Christianson . us girls always had someone that we could go to for all our questions and someone to turn to when we needed help. plus we had a few laughs!
both friendly guys doing well in the industry !!!
this was a fun photo shoot. i think i liked it because the models (twin sisters) were so much fun so real
and
hey... we were at the beach !!
Mike was doing an indoor photo shoot for a designer and her wedding gowns. we were along to see how it is done. the gowns were very stunning. for any of you brides out there ......check out her site.
Marianne Lanting
i snuck a few close ups of the girls. they were so beautiful.
Mike Colon and us girls....

The sky is the limit.
after fate led us to Mike Colon's web page, it was only a matter of time and we sought out to meet Mike and to learn from him.
juanita and i have been talking about this for months.
the mike colon's photography workshop
we anticipate the coming week and look forward to all that we will learn, take in and allow to leave impressions on us. we not only look forward to meeting the talented teacher, mike.
we also look forward to meeting the other 18 talented photographers that we will be spending time with as well.
could this be a photographers haven? we think it is!!!!!
with our inspired minds upon our return home. we look forward to devoting all our passions, love and creative energy to each and every customer. an opportunity like this will benifit the work we do for you.
i'll leave you with this quote today.... i have liked it so much

Lance Armstrong
today was such a special privilege. to be in the midst of cancer survivors and cancer patients.
Lance Armstrong gave a speech at 1 pm today to over 2000 people, here in Saskatoon.
he told us of his story and battle with cancer and he spoke of what we all need to do to fight this disease.
i found his story incredible.
his positive attitude and his outlook on life. it gave me such hope that no matter what we face in life. we will all have obstacles. we need to remain positive, that even the worse can teach us so much. being brought down to a point where up is the only way to go.... that can be good for us.
thank you Lance and thank you Kelly Rhudy for the Question & Answer period as well.
every thing today went great!
here are a few pics today that we shot of Lance and co.

President Clinton - Day 2
today was the second day and event in Saskatchewan for the Honourable Bill Clinton.
he spoke to a crowd in Regina about Canadian American Relations.
the luncheon today was very similar to the event that took place in Saskatoon last night.
one thing was different for me. today i was not so nervous. i had already met Mr. Clinton and knew what to expect. I learned last night that was no real reason to be nervous. this Honourable Man is very down to earth and thankful to all. great man in my books and i am still trying to wrap my head around the fact we had the privilege of capturing his moments here in Saskatchewan.
A big thank you to Andy and James McCreath once again. the event coordinators. what a blast to work with the two of you. look'in forward to tomorrow when we will meet and capture Lance Armstrong.
here are a few pictures from today:
Brad Wall - Leader of the Saskatchewan Party with Mr. Clinton
Me with Mr. Clinton
Andy and James McCreath - Event Coordinators with Mr. Clinton
until the excitement tomorrow i am gonna rest!

President Clinton - Day 1
today juanita and i were the photographers for the Canadian American Relations event in Saskatoon featuring Mr. Bill Clinton. GOOD GOING DREAM PHOTOGRAPHY! what a great honor i tell ya. what a great experience to meet the man. we did a photo line of 50 people (who were mainly sponsors) in under 15 minutes. each of these people will be given the picture that we took of them with Mr. Clinton for a memory.
Mr. Clinton arrived at the airport, was transported to the venue, stepped out of the car and was in front of the Camera....only to be followed by his speech in front of many here in Saskatoon. seems like his life would be filled with things like such. always on the move.
we had such a great time tonight. thank you to Andy McCreath the event coordinator, thank you to all the great RCMP who had such a great sense of humor, it helped pass the time while we all waited.
here are the photos of Mr.Clinton and us gals! can you believe it.
remember everybody - live your dreams!

here are some pics of the snow dump we just had. it's just great! lov'in it!
as i was opening the mail and bills today. i opened a envelope to find a wedding magazine inside. the magazine is called destination 'i do'. there on the 80th page is a write up about our wedding that took place in kauai last april. Stewart Pinsky our wedding photographer has submitted the pictures and a while back a lady from the magazine had contacted me for a few questions. i didn't really think it would amount to this. but hey ... that's great! kipp and i both thought it was great to see and read about our wedding.
man that was the best day ever. i tell ya. it's just so nice to sit and remember back.... not that it was that long ago but life is busy. i scanned in the article. here is what it looked like:
