Is your glass half empty or half full?

L ife blesses us daily, i truly believe that. i feel that every day , there are gifts for us to discover and be thankful for. i feel that within the last 24 hours i have been blessed x 10.

it all started last night, one of kipp's great friends from highschool called us up. she was in town visiting from toronto. she wanted to spend some time with us. we had her come for dinner. i enjoyed cooking up a storm as usual. i just love enteratining for guests. nicole was with us for the whole entire evening and i can say that it was grand. we got caught up in all aspects of life.

it was great listening to her about stories of her husband, jacob. he sounds like a real intense individual. she shared stories of his times ice climbing, mountain journeys and all the renos her has performed in their home. he is off to Austria to ski the slopes. the dangerous ones!! nothing but extreme sports for that man. be safe jacob, you have a wifie to come home too. it was great to get to know nicole a bit better , i know why kipp has stayed in contact with her. she just fills the room with sunshine. we hope to visit them and their home in toronto before they move to the west in the fall.

the next thing that i was blessed with, was the daily kiss good-bye my husband gives me before he leaves for the work day. i know at that hour in the morning i am still quite out of it. but he never ceases to give me that kiss. he tells me that is one of his favorite parts of the day. lucky girl!

at 10 am this morning, madison (my favorite 3 year old) came for a visit. i had offered to babysit for a bit. man, children are so refreshing. just like a 7-up. madison and i played endless games of hide and seek. everytime she came looking for me. she would say.... "ready or not , here i come."

later i grabbed my camera, she was jump'in on our bed sing'in at the top of her lungs. "3 little monkeys jump'in on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head. mama called the doctor and the doctor said, "no more monkeys jump'in on the bed."

i tried to capture the moments of pure enjoyment that she was having. once i pulled the camera out, it turned into a little photo shoot. "manda, take another picture of me". what a little cutie-pie. here are some pics.

another thing that just made me giggle, was madison's stories of the monsters that are at pre school. she was telling me that her favorite sister(she only has one sister), her mom and dad save her from them all the time.

i love how kids think. it wasn't necessary so much about the monsters to me. i was taking that little story as a way that she was telling me how much she loved her family. the faith she had in them.

life blesses us with people, big and small. people we don't know well, those who we hold dear and those people that are just still youth. they are all out there. it's just how we allow them affect us. remember everyone has a story, everyone loves to laugh and down in each life, in every soul, there is a place that we are inspired. today my inspired box is full. thank you.

have a great weekend everyone. we are off to visit some friends in the little town of balgony.

a sak.
