A baby is an angel whose wings decrease as his/her legs increase

a new baby is like the beginning of all things...wonder and hope....a dream of possibilities.

this afternoon we captured a little angel named, jessica.
jessica seemed to really like the camera. she was a doll and i fell in love with her. she was born to a lovable couple james and kathryn on December 12, 2005. i just know that she has been blessed and so have they!!
great people, great parents, and they deserve a great daughter.

james leaves tomorrow to travel to San Diego to write exams for the American veterinarian surgery.
good luck james,
as a carrot before your nose, just keep think'in of what you have to come home to , stress free from all that studying .......................time with mom and jess.

Cowboys are cool.

what little boy doesn't go thru a stage where either he is a firetruck driver or a cowboy? well we were with friends this weekend and it was the cowboy thing !!!! Out comes the hat, and the horse but that isn't enough. tye needed the cowboy shirt and then he could do some serious damage to the bad guys. it's also funny how what one kids does, the other wants to do too. little brother zak is into the same thing, following in the shoes of his bro. Just had to post this one pictures of zak. it's too cute.

everyone have a great day. enjoy a Monday like you should enjoy it. even if it's back to work. we have a newborn coming to see us today, pictures for the first time. i can't wait. the little feet, the little hands.
we'll post those soon.

Is your glass half empty or half full?

L ife blesses us daily, i truly believe that. i feel that every day , there are gifts for us to discover and be thankful for. i feel that within the last 24 hours i have been blessed x 10.

it all started last night, one of kipp's great friends from highschool called us up. she was in town visiting from toronto. she wanted to spend some time with us. we had her come for dinner. i enjoyed cooking up a storm as usual. i just love enteratining for guests. nicole was with us for the whole entire evening and i can say that it was grand. we got caught up in all aspects of life.

it was great listening to her about stories of her husband, jacob. he sounds like a real intense individual. she shared stories of his times ice climbing, mountain journeys and all the renos her has performed in their home. he is off to Austria to ski the slopes. the dangerous ones!! nothing but extreme sports for that man. be safe jacob, you have a wifie to come home too. it was great to get to know nicole a bit better , i know why kipp has stayed in contact with her. she just fills the room with sunshine. we hope to visit them and their home in toronto before they move to the west in the fall.

the next thing that i was blessed with, was the daily kiss good-bye my husband gives me before he leaves for the work day. i know at that hour in the morning i am still quite out of it. but he never ceases to give me that kiss. he tells me that is one of his favorite parts of the day. lucky girl!

at 10 am this morning, madison (my favorite 3 year old) came for a visit. i had offered to babysit for a bit. man, children are so refreshing. just like a 7-up. madison and i played endless games of hide and seek. everytime she came looking for me. she would say.... "ready or not , here i come."

later i grabbed my camera, she was jump'in on our bed sing'in at the top of her lungs. "3 little monkeys jump'in on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head. mama called the doctor and the doctor said, "no more monkeys jump'in on the bed."

i tried to capture the moments of pure enjoyment that she was having. once i pulled the camera out, it turned into a little photo shoot. "manda, take another picture of me". what a little cutie-pie. here are some pics.

another thing that just made me giggle, was madison's stories of the monsters that are at pre school. she was telling me that her favorite sister(she only has one sister), her mom and dad save her from them all the time.

i love how kids think. it wasn't necessary so much about the monsters to me. i was taking that little story as a way that she was telling me how much she loved her family. the faith she had in them.

life blesses us with people, big and small. people we don't know well, those who we hold dear and those people that are just still youth. they are all out there. it's just how we allow them affect us. remember everyone has a story, everyone loves to laugh and down in each life, in every soul, there is a place that we are inspired. today my inspired box is full. thank you.

have a great weekend everyone. we are off to visit some friends in the little town of balgony.

yes, my hubby has taken over the kitchen and it's not for cooking. he is redoing the kitchen cupboards. i know it will look amazing when it's all done, it just the gongshow in between. if ya know me, you know how much i love mess and disorganization. about this much. -----------. this will be the test. but aren't ya suppose to wallpaper together to test your marriage? well we are doing it a little different.

i would say that this is maybe a time to hibernate to the office.
no really, i am truly thankful that i have a handy husband. i am thankful he ventures out on these little projects. it's be fun help'in and it's be fun once it's all done too.

there will be a few changes happening to the web page in the next couple of days. you will notice them right away. stay tuned and check ya later.

Safe Travels Mike and Royanne

last night's dinner was a 2 in 1. Mike was celebrating the day he came into the world, along with departing on a great adventure to Thailand with his little lady, Royanne.
we ate at the Taj Mahal restaurant. an Indian restaurant. it was amazing. it's a family ran business and you can just tell this family truly cares for the business and each client. the food was all homemade and the service was top shelf. my favorite part was the homemade mango ice cream that we had for desert. it cooled my lips down from all those crazy spices. Saskatoon people, you must visit this restaurant. you will love the food and the experience. i just can't wait to go back again. here are some pics from last night's dinner.

Mike and Royanne are off to Thailand for a couple of months. I am so pumped for them. it was not to long ago that my sister and i set out on the same trip. a trip of a life time. Ko Samet was my favorite place and so of course that is where i recommended them to go. (it's funny how that works). that island was filled with great karma. one thing. just watch out for the critters!!! here is a picture i scanned of the spider that lived with us in our hut for the week.

happy travels you two! take it all in. every moment will teach you something. travel'in does something for the soul. in most cases it will remind you of how blessed you are.

we'll miss you, but don't worry we will shovel a few snow banks for you !!

i just want to thank Reagan and Cory for being such amazing hosts and showing us all there was to see. Kipp and i had such a great time. fantastic memories. Kipper was like a kid with a new toy, last night unwrapping the hockey sticks that Cory gave him. i am sure he will be stoked to use em on thursday night at his next hockey game. there was no homemade latte to wake up to this morning and i was sure missing that!
well here is a few pics to sum up the trip. thanks again and go lightning go!!

Awake

awake.
be thankful.
have a latte.
visit busch gardens zoo and rides.
take a million pictures of widelife.
hockey game.
berns steakhouse.
be thankful.
sleep.

the highlight of our day yesterday was for sure bring able to see Cory play hockey in his home rink. and they won! i knew they would - it was good karma last night all around.

after the game we went to a very well known steakhouse - Berns - a restaurant that has put tampa on the map.

they toured us thru the entire kitchen and wine cellars. incredible. this restaurant is known for the wine, as the wine menu weights more then my purse. and if you know me - that 's heavy ;).

we had some big steaks and then moved up stairs to the dessert room.
our berns experience was wonderful.

however the Sarich experience has been better. these friends are some serious hosts! really giving people. i am so thankful for them in my life and truely - you can always learn something from everyone.

well gots to run, lots going on today!

I'm so Excited

well my soulmate and i leave for Florida in only 3 sleeps. we are headed down to Tampa Bay to see a great friend that i have stayed in touch with since 'way back when' high school days.

Reagan (my girlfriend) is married to Cory Sarich, a professional hockey player. right now he currently plays for Tampa Bay Lightning. last year they won the Stanley Cup. i'm still so proud of that.

one of the last times we have hung out with them was at their great celebration in Saskatoon here in August. they hosted a 'Stanley Cup party' for close family and friends. here are some pics from then.

i am really excited to see their home in Florida and just their little life in Florida. two great people. playing for a professional team isn't always the life people think it is. i marvel at the relationship between Reagan and Cory. they make the best of it and they make an unbelievable team.

since winning the Stanley Cup, Cory and Reagan have had a baby girl. Jada. she was born last year in april when my husband and i were on our honeymoon in kauai. it will be refreshing to be around a baby!

it will be so great to just spend some quality time with quality people.

i'm looking forward to sport'in the flip flops. lately our weather hasn't allow that! not unless you like
frozen feet. :=

p.s.I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I've Learned

i've learned that one of the best places to learn is from your elders.

today would be my grandmothers birthday, but she has been gone now for 6 years. cancer took her. but it didn't get the best of her. she was ready for death. time has gone by quickly, but i will not forget what she was like. humble. kind. giving and such a love for everyone. she was a wise lady.

a person can learn so much from those who have gone before us. it seems also that the older generation can tell us so much about dying quality. "simplicity."
we will not learn that for others however, until if we practice it in our own lives. there is happiness in simplicity. be happy with what you have and who you are.

this is a picture gramma left for me.it's an old brown and white picture that i scanned. this was gramma and her brother at a young age.

off to take some pics. i will post them soon.
have a happy saturday

Happy New Year

i can say this last year was truly one of the best years of my life. i got married to the man of my dreams in Kauai on april 21st. it was a day i will never forget. just the two of us and our families. perfect. thank you also to Stewart Pinsky, our wedding photographer who took such incredible pictures.

i also started pursuing all my passions in this photography business, dream. photography. ,with my sister. this is where our hearts has been for many years and now that chance to grow the business together.
really it never rains but it pours and i have been so blessed.

it's not that this year didn't hold it's trails and struggles but it was thur those struggles too that made me who i am today. i was reading a story the other day, something that i felt i could really relate to.

it was a story about a man that was taken by the process of a cocoon to a butterfly. watching the butterfly struggle to get out of that cocoon, he took a knife to slice the cocoon open. he felt by doing that, that he would free the butterfly from so much hassle. but once the butterfly was freed, the butterfly never flew. this man later learned that the struggle that a butterfly faces on it's way out of the cocoon gives it the strength it needs to fly. we are like that too. we never know what it ahead, but the struggles we face sometimes prepare us to fly, so to speak.
never be afraid of a storm. there is always a beautiful rainbow after.

This year my goal is to love more. to really pour my heart into the things that matter most.
God, my husband, my family and friends.

there is a lot out there in this age, to grab our attention and take our time. social circles, hobbies, work, toys, just things, they are everywhere. it's not that they are such awful things either, but it they are taking the place of those things that matter most in our lives then they do not have the right priority.
life it short.
how are we going to spend each day we have a choice you know
i am going to try to ask myself that question everyday when i awake. that will help me stay focused.
alot is accomplished step by step and day by day.

well i should sign off, but i will post again soon.
there's always lots to write about ;)

p.s. i've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
